One Single Impression #63 ~ What's It Like
~
Being on the edge
That sharp moment between worlds
Today in crisis
~
Basic formats of near futures
What's it like to stagger through choices
~
Today in limbo
That question between answers
What's it really like

Very pertinent poem for me as we contemplate our future as 12 years in Zambezia, Mozambique draw to a close. Well stated.
I don't know Greyscale, this is a lot to contemplate on ..Just thinking about the crisis my country is in gives me a headache. I am old, and my time is short, but I feel for the young folks who much not only contemplate what you have set forth, but must also pay the cost.
A very good poem, very thought provoking.
Lots to think about. I suppose the world crisis is an individual one that unites us and reminds us of how alone we are. Challenging. Thanks for this poem.
I like the idea of a question between answers. You've given a lot of food for thought here.
Excellent work!
so timely. really really thought provoking
Staggering between choices.... oh, how many times I've been in that place.
that moment between in and out breath is like...a mini-death. Gives us practice...
Thank you, Gemma--beautiful lines--
You'e really distilled these down to their essence!
It all comes down to that space between all the questions and all the choices.
Hi Gemma, I'll take living on the edge. That sounds the most exciting. Actually I live between two worlds here in a way but I don't want to go into that here. It isn't exciting.
Oh well, maybe just ignoring the whole problem might be easier. Like playing golf every day or riding a motorcycle. :-)
..
Excellent thoughts, as always. I particularly like 'that question between answers'...
live the questions, as much as you'd like to drop to one side or the other
"Being on the edge
That sharp moment between worlds"- great word choice and subject matter...such choices to have to make...
