Pic by Gemma Wiseman ~ No! You are not seeing things!
It is not trick photography!
This wild cockatoo flew onto my verandah brick wall.
And clung onto the bricks for several minutes.
I have no idea what was attracting him there.
Do cockatoos eat small spiders?
I could see no spider or spider's web.
Quite a mystery!

Camera Critters #56
~
Walls are there to climb
In the spirit of sheer guts
Wild bird adventure
~
Pic by Gemma Wiseman ~ You would think the first photo was just a lucky shot.
After a few minutes, the cockatoo flew back onto my verandah railing!
He stood there, gazed fixedly at the wall
and then flew onto the same spot again!
Perhaps he liked the challenge of climbing!
Some cockatoos love climbing my old flag pole!
And fight one another over it!

My goodness!
I love looking at your posts every day. :)
This is hysterical, Gemma!
they must be doing it for fun... what other explanation could there possibly be......
My friend Cathie would laugh, her cockatoo is a terrorist, nothing gets in her ways of destruction...she always looks guilty about something...and with good reason!
The squirrels cause me great fits of laughter, you never know what the lil' heathens are up to next, they drive Scratchy crazy!
See ye sista!

This is really funny pic! Great job!
You do get some fantastic bird images, but this is something else. Made me lol.
That's too funny. :) It's nice to see them in the wild -we only see them as pets here.

Gemma: What a beautiful bird to capture, you did a great job on this one. Maybe he just came for a quick photo.
Maybe she likes someone to photograph her? That is why she was there...and it happened, you took some snapshots of her...c",)
They are such cute birds - and huge - I've just recently seen the first cockatto of my life and was surprised by how big he was! Maybe he was after minerals from the mortar or he just enjoyed being photographed ;)
I saw one yellow crested cockatoo at the wildlife park last week too. poor fellow he was caged.
Cool shots !!!
Maybe he was just taking a rest break :-)
That is one cute bird. Was that on your house?
Amazing Gemma, what an agile little bird and a great photo.
