Quite noticeably this summer, many people - esp children - are not donning swimming costumes for beach time.
Instead, they wear tops with sleeves, hats and shorts even for entering the water.

Hopefully, this way they won't get sunburned! They do look as though they are having fun in their new style swim clothes! Fun capture for the day, Gemma!

that´s great. A t-shirt is much better as sunprotecion then suncream. :)
I guess if you can cool off and then dry off you don't need a change of clothes? :-)
In Newcastle we don't even need sun-hats this summer. Out weather today? Rain yet again!
I have heard that there is a lot of skin cancer in Australia, so this move to wear t shirts and hats is a good move. Maybe I will do that, come summer, since my shoulders always burn...
A very wise way so as not to expose our skin to the harshness of the sun.
They look so cute in these colors!
Delightful fun day....and I love all the hot pink!!
My Wednesday post: UNDER THE SEA
pink in water, so charming.
What a grand idea. My grandchildren are all FORCED to wear shirts at all times when we are at the beach and big brimmed hats. Blonds and redheads really do burn so easily. These little girls are precious. genie
