Pic by Gemma Wiseman ~ This is an unusual sight.
Imagine standing right near the end of Mornington Peninsula.
Here, this very narrow strip of land is called Point Nepean.
Face back along the Peninsula.
On your left are the calmish waters of Port Phillip Bay - leading to Melbourne.
On your right are the unpredicatable waters of Bass Strait - leading to the island of Tasmania.
And with all that weathering of crashing water, slowly the sandy peninsula is crumbling.

Fragile coastal worlds
Nature's walls will tumble down
See how it used to be

Oh -- what an amazing place to stand; to realize as you so beautifully put it, the cycle of nature. Lovely Gemma.
