Pic by Gemma Wiseman ~ On a recent sunny day (there haven't been many!) we drove to Point Nepean at the tip of the Mornington Peninsula.
We boarded this transporter (carriages pulled by tractor) for the last several kilometres and then walked back enjoying the views of Bass Strait and Port Phillip Bay.
And the long morning shadows, while we waited for our transporter, were just delightful and magical.

Nice! What a great old tree, and such cool shadows.
We're fresh out of shadows lately as well...difference is, you've got no shadows because it's winter and here in SF we've got no shadows because it's summer.
;-)
very cool. I just love it.
Have a great day!
Such a beautiful tree, terrific shadow shot and wonderful words as always. Always a pleasure to visit your blog and I really like the update! Have a great weekend!
Sylvia
I always love tree shadows!
The sun on a winter's day may be fleeting - so we should enjoy it to the fullest when we are able!
The blog redesign is beautiful!
Welcoming shadows! Indeed
Very rich shadows.
WOWZA!!! Seems like a few of us have really done some blog cleaning. I don't know how you keep up with them all and work a full time job too...girl...YOU DA MAN!!!
I've been so busy compiling inventory for the new shop and trying to get the doors and windows ready for the carpenter when he calls for me to deliver them, by the time I get home from work I'm comatose!!! Good thing we love what we do aye...!
Here it is July already and I feel our summer is coming to an early demise, July always makes me melancholy...the sweet corn is so tall, the tomatoes are ripening on the vine and the birds have stopped nesting, that worries me, I fear for an early long winter...I'm coming to your house for the winter...OK???
In a dream anyway, been doin' alot of that lately, with the dream of finally having a quasi-shop AND GARAGE to work in, has me constantly making and changing plans, but again, that's all in the fun of it.
My daughter's new shop is doing wonderful...FINALLY...many new peeps in to check it out and word of other stores moving in too, so this old mall may have a comeback yet...hope so, we're bettin' the ranch on it.
Be well dear friend and know I think of you often and will try to visit again soon.
A big ol' American smooch!!!
s
Lovely shadows from the tree! Looks like a special place to visit.
Great tree shadow!!
Clouds and shadows I have always been aware of. Somehow one sees the soul of a tree in its shadow. Sounds like a great walk, particularly just one way with a beautiful view over Port Phillip.
Love the row of seagulls in your new header.
Lovely Winter shadows..
Love your revamp too..
What an awesome tree shadow! Early morning shadows just can't be beaten! And that ride looks like a whole lot of fun. Carriages pulled along by a tractor is something I've not seen before! Hope you have a wonderful week ahead Gemma :)
That shadow is bigger than the tree...beautiful depth in this show.
Happy SSS greetings from Casa!

I really like trees and tree shadows. This one is beautiful, and the walk and transporet ride sound like a nice activity. Winter there, right? What kind of temperatures are you haviong in places like these? Just curious.
Peace.
A giant tree shadow, cool!
Shadow shot Sunday
Magic place, beautiful shadows. And sounds like my kind of uphill hike -- a ride up the steepest part! And a hike all the way down -- perfect!
Under the great tree,
shadowy creatures gather—
bid them welcome, child.
oh how i wish our winter mornings could look like this. that is the consequence for where we live i suppose. i am a big fane of trees. lovely shadows gemma.
here's hoping your week is full of sunshine.
Fantastic tree shadow. Looks like a place I would love to visit one day! Oh well in my dream I guess!
Have a nice week!
Lovely shadow, how wonderful that the sun was shining!
Yes! Yes! Very magical indeed.
