The sepia mutes this view of the flower a bit, which allows our imagination to work a bit, giving us look at something radically different. I almost see a conch or some king of mollusk. This is a nice view and exercise (for me anyway...)

It's gorgeous. I've never heard of "winter" lillies -- but it looks very similar to a calla lily - I'm going to have to google it!
