Pic by Gemma Wiseman ~ How to make kitchen utensils look interesting for a post was quite a challenge.
So rather than lay them out, I chose to stand certain ones in a water ornament that lives in my kitchen!
(Water drizzles over the rock and the light is usually on.
Soothing sound and sight in the kitchen.)
However, with the water running, nothing would stay put for a photoshoot.
So I stood some colourful pieces in between the stones below and balanced others round the rock.
Here you see chopsticks and a variety of quirky wine bottle stoppers.
The blue wine stopper in the centre is my souvenir from the year 2000!

Pic by Gemma Wiseman ~ And then there are those pseudo utensils we collect such as souvenir spoons.
This one is a jam spoon souvenir of Devonport, Tasmania.
(So hard to photograph because the images at the top of the spoon are so small and shiny!
This is the best photo of a bad lot!)
And, have you noticed that there are not too many jam spoons on the market these days?
Could they become a museum oddity?

AUSTRALIA ~ The Antipodes
