Pic by Gemma Wiseman ~ Merricks General Wine Store of 1924, Mornington Peninsula.
It has been re-vitalised and is now a popular stopping point on the Frankston-Flinders Road for boutique dining, unusual farm preserves and for a taste of Peninsula wines.

I love old stores like this. The nostalgia they bring to the surrounding area. I like both the photos and writing for this one very much. Have a great day.
An old store with a country feel to it :)
great place - we all love a little bit of something old in our town

The upper left photo of the collage (& the larger one below) is my favorite. The awning view seems a bit too modern. The original and honest view looks as if we have been transported 100 years back. A sepia classic view!
Very enjoyable sepia captures. Barbara
how great that it has a new life

Hope you can stop by to see my sepia scene Thanks!
Hi, Gemma Wiseman,
I've had an interesting scroll finding your sepia scenes.
The most wonderful sunset, the lovely Burmese cat, Dove in its right element, a dreamlike flock of seagulls, seagulls, kitchen utensils(!), such a wide spread of interests and interesting pictures in just a few days.
The Merricks General Store looks real interesting.
Good to know its not only an empty shell, but is used for common purposes.
