Mornington Shopping

Pic by Gemma Wiseman ~ 2 banners introducing the village world of shopping in Mornington. One sign represents the beautiful facades of heritage and new buildings. The other sign represents Port Phillip Bay at the end of the main street.

Pic by Gemma Wiseman ~ I like to keep shopping mania at the far end of the street. So, if I must shop, I shop early before the crowds. Even this little village can get quite busy, especially on Wednesday Market Day when the main street is festooned with delightful bright stalls! This shot is looking down Main Street, Mornington. Past all those shops is Mornington Park by the bay and, a little further on is Schnapper Point loved by fishermen and yachties!

Great shots. And you sound like me. If I have to go I prefer to do it before the crowds take over. Actually, that tends to be my attitude with going anywhere.

I think you're very brave to get that close to seagulls. I find them frightening.

I may have to curtail my visits here. The desire to move way down South is almost irresistable.
