When my daughter was young we moved from Colorado to Arkansas. In Colorado most of the cattle are raise in feed lots where large numbers of cows are kept in an enclosed area and fed. There is no grass, ans the manure piles high. In Arkansas the cows are kept in pastures that look very much like the ones in your pictures. My daughter said they were Happy Cows.

I love the ones with the white faces, but I imagine if you ran into one in the dark, they could be mistaken for ghosts!
