Camera Critters meme #37

We have just moved into our new home in the Dromana Hills, right below the peak of Arthurs Seat, Mornington Peninsula. Exhausted, we were slumped in chairs on the back verandah. But then, on turning around, we saw this white cockatoo on the upper small verandah railing, eating an apricot from a tree below. I was shaking when I took this shot, hoping he would not move. I was so shocked!

Wow, what a great find! He's beautiful :)
These are such cute birds. Here they are caged but you have them flying free which is so much better.
That is really a neat photo of a beautiful bird.
I have a picture up of our umbrella cockatoo this week, so I was surprised to see this. :-)
Ah... what a wonderfully welcoming surprise!
Hugs and blessings,
The best photos always emerge from nowhere. Good to have a camera in hand.
Love these birds and you're lucky to have one visiting you. Even if he is stealing your fruit! He certainly looks like he's enjoying it. Hope you're not too fond of peaches because I don't think the cheeky cocky will be leaving you any to enjoy...hehe :)
It must be Nature's Way of giving you a House Warming Gift.
these are great shots! you were lucky he posed for you!
Pretty.
What an amazing sight! Are they wild over there? Lucky you.
Great photos. I had an umbrella too for years. They are so lovable
Great photos! I know exactly what you mean about shaking when you get a great photo opportunity - I do the same thing.
I've never seen one of these in the wild, and I'm not sure I've even seen photos of them in the wild. I guess I always knew they were out there, but the only ones we see here are pets.
What a cool visitor to have come to welcome you!
