Ferry Trip
Pic by Gemma Wiseman ~ This car ferry (click to enlarge) runs each hour between the two peninsulas surrounding Port Phillip Bay, Victoria, Australia.
It runs from Sorrento on the Mornington Peninsula to Queenscliff on the Bellarine Peninsula.
In the warmer months, this is a very popular tourist trip across the bay.

Touch of Candlelight
Pic by Gemma Wiseman ~ My last lit candle before I move today. I used the candle holder for a hasty Chrissy decoration display and the candle is embedded in stones. In the background is the upstairs misty, rainy street view on Saturday afternoon.

Please forgive me if I do not visit you.

Mornington Shopping
Pic by Gemma Wiseman ~ 2 banners introducing the village world of shopping in Mornington. One sign represents the beautiful facades of heritage and new buildings. The other sign represents Port Phillip Bay at the end of the main street.

Pic by Gemma Wiseman ~ The seagulls like to seek bargains here too!
~
Pic by Gemma Wiseman ~ Some even enjoy table service!
~
Pic by Gemma Wiseman ~ I like to keep shopping mania at the far end of the street. So, if I must shop, I shop early before the crowds. Even this little village can get quite busy, especially on Wednesday Market Day when the main street is festooned with delightful bright stalls! This shot is looking down Main Street, Mornington. Past all those shops is Mornington Park by the bay and, a little further on is Schnapper Point loved by fishermen and yachties!

Cherry Harvest

Manic Monday prompt ~ Harvest
~
November (in orchard country, Red Hill on the Mornington Peninsula), is cherry harvest time. After about a month of glorious blossom, the cherries are born and November to December (just in time for Christmas) you may visit the Red Hill orchards to get some fresh cherries or even choose to pick your own!

Bounty from Nature
Pic by Gemma Wiseman ~ Delightful fish and chip shop at Rosebud, Mornington Peninsula
~
Manic Monday prompt ~ Bounty
~
If you wish to tantalise all the senses
And get a real experience of bounty
Wander into a fish and chip shop
(A good fish and chip shop)
Where the fish are many, varied and fresh
Where the array on frozen display is a delight for the eyes
And the scents of fish cooking
Slowly
(or souvlaki
or hamburgers)
Awaken hunger cravings to a desperate level
~
But while you wait
You can admire and select
A delectable fresh salad concoction
Or even succumb to the joys of
Hot potato chips
~
The choices are gifts from
The bounty of Nature

FOOTNOTES: This is only a guess. But the sculpture looks as if it is based on a tree trunk. Maybe, when the house was built, a large tree required cutting down, leaving a flat topped stump. The upper part looks as if it is a kind of treated/stained balsa wood that has been shaped, added to the tree stump, and then the whole has been stained/painted over so it blends together. However this was done, the result looks very inventive!
