I do wonder - is that a lamp or planter, who the picture is of. And where the light comes from. Shadows and questions so often go together it seems. The artistry is outstanding!

There is mystery here...and stories waiting to unfold!

I LOVE MY SHADOW

I love my shadow,
My shadow loves me;
We chat together
And don’t disagree!

My shadow and I
Prefer not to shout
As we go walking
And rambling about.

My shadow’s so wise,
I ask what she thinks;
She’s happy to share,
And then nods and winks.

My shadow and I
Are best buds, you see;
That’s why we try hard
To always agree!

I love this shadow, with the portrait of the Dalai Lama below in shadow...some day he will be able to come home...sorry I missed you last week, we were so busy moving Lorie's stuff(junk)into the storage, I was pooped when I got home. But all she has to do now is arrange it, the fun stuff...and alas poor Brandon I knew him well, my neighbor is butchering his chickens tomorrow and will do my roo as well. He's become quite the pain in the arse these days, picking on poor Louie AND ME...the nasty lil' devil...but it's the way of it and it must be done before winter because Louie can't be left out in the freezing weather all day, he'd freeze, so the girls will have a new lord and master, I just hope he stays nice so he doesn't end up with carrots and potatoes in the pot!

Hope all is going well with my lil' broken friend and the mending is coming along good n speedy...spring must be getting close for you, as the Autumn is showing up quickly round these parts, leaves falling all 'round, you can just feel it in the air.

These are the times I start dreaming of Florida and the warm climes of the South, some day I'll spend my winters there, but not just yet, but I can dream can't I...been raining all day here, but the trees need it to stay healthy in the long winter months, so I ain't complainin'!

Hope you have a wonderful week ahead dear friend...I'm thinkin' of ya walking the beautiful shores of your beloved Mornington Peninsula...sigh...!

A big hug and a smooch!

Fantastic shadow shot, Gemma! Love the color, the texture and, of course, your words! There's such a feeling of strength -- perhaps the Dalli Lama's photo?? Whatever, it's powerful! Hope you have a lovely weekend!

There is great strength and wisdom which lies in the shadow!! The shadow of the lamp/planter is so wonderful and looks like a Tibetan prayer wheel!!
