AUSTRALIA ~ The Antipodes
I love a sunburnt country / A land of sweeping plains / Of ragged mountain ranges / Of droughts and flooding rains / I love her far horizons / I love her jewel-sea / Her beauty and her terror / The wide brown land for me / ~ Dorothea Mackellar (1885-1968)

Height of Haiku Challenge ~ Flourish

A cockatoo visitor in my world of Dromana.
When a cockatoo feels a little stroppy, the crest lunges forward and the sweet thing emits a raucous cry!
This particular cockatoo we call Gammy because he appears to have a broken wing!
But he manages to fly quite well and manages to share his displeasure quite loudly!
(Admittedly, Gammy's attitude was aided by a wind blowing and the drama of his pose was captured in the last lights of the day!)
