AUSTRALIA ~ The Antipodes

AUSTRALIA ~ The Antipodes
I love a sunburnt country / A land of sweeping plains / Of ragged mountain ranges / Of droughts and flooding rains / I love her far horizons / I love her jewel-sea / Her beauty and her terror / The wide brown land for me / ~ Dorothea Mackellar (1885-1968)

That windmill's never going to grind flour! Clever haiku.

Dizzying heights and the wind at the top will surely blow me away!! Well thought!!

I never would have thought of this kind of windmill--and I certainly wouldn't think of riding it!

No Windmill Here!

Oh I like this very much. Windmills marking the passing of time and live. Beautiful words and images.

Great Haiku!

Well that's different...

I certainly wouldn't want to take a ride on that "windmill;" I don't like carnival rides that attempt to part me from my meal and belongings. ;)

Great poem, though. :)
