Shadow Shot Sunday #142

Regimented lines
Stairway to schools of thinking
My public think tank

NOTE: "regimented" and "schools of thinking" are shaded with a hint of irony.
My private think tank is not quite so formal.

Ah, so crisp and sharp and they create such a great pattern! Superb capture as always, Gemma! Hope your weekend is going well! Enjoy!

Do "regimented" and "think" go together or do they cancel each other out? Just wondering...
SILLY SHADOW DITTY
Shadows may or may not be
Patterns of urbanity.
If a shadow threatens you,
Here, my dear, is what to do:
Grab the shadow by the throat,
Toss it to a billy goat,
So the goat can chomp and chew,
Keeping it away from you!

Chiseled Shadows
Great shadow shot. Charmaine
The creativity of students cannot be overstated. Perhaps being regimented, forming lines and such, compels the child to think in a more creative way. Shadows like this can be stimulating to the mind...
i love how it fades at the bottom of the photo into shadows. great lines!!
how's school going?
have a happy week gemma!!
Oh my friend, what a sterile environment for such a creative soul...it's a good thing you love what you do and it does sound like you have a huge load this year. But you do sound very positive in your thinking.
I think alotta people have been too busy to blog much, I've noticed. For me, it's now a way of life, a way for me to earn a living and still be at home doing what I love.I have always been an early riser, so it actually gives me 2 or 3 hours a morning to play on the pc, take and place orders and do a post. Of course, being single plays a huge roll in my obligations elsewhere.
But, I long to be outside doing what I love in the gardens and playing with Scratchy, who's put on a spare tire this winter, she has no place to play and nothing to chase. I'm just glad I don't have to be out driving to work anymore in all this crap...too many years of that stuff...and yes, I'm finally coming to terms with it...after all, I'm still alive...and that's HUGE!!! Right!!!
Guess it makes all those moments sitting on your veranda even more precious, a cup of coffee, a bird squawking and that glorious view of the sea...you are blessed my friend...wish I could sit out there a spell with ya...and so we dream on!
Have a wonderful week dearest friend and show them kids all your smarts and I won't wish Autumn on you too soon!!! I'm rather enjoying the beauty of the drifting snow dunes...after all, do I have a choice...right!
Warmest bear hugs sister!

I love the way those railing shadows seem to fade into the distance. Fences and wrought iron make the best shadows when we catch them. These are stunning.
I like the haiku as well. Public think tank. Is school out for a warm weather summer break like it is in most places here in the USA?
Peace
Well spotted, and well stated Gemma. It looks so clean, I guess the kids haven't had time to mess it up yet. It appears to be a lovely building, I just hope it allows for some creativity and happiness. Hang in there, the kids need teachers who think and see.
Wonderful ShadowShot. It's been 43years since I went to H.S., but I still remember the way the shadows hit the winding staircases between floors in my old elementary school.
This is a splendid shadow shot...love it.
Love the lines in this photo!!! Makes for super shadow casting.
A Seagull Shadow
