Pic by Gemma Wiseman ~ St Joseph's Primary Scool paraded lots of red in the Western Port Festival parade last weekend.
Annually, this parade celebrates the community spirit of this region on the Mornington Peninsula.
This year, Hastings was celebrating 150 years of evolving on the Peninsula (hence the "150" hats on the children's heads!)

Nice catch!
The marchers are enjoying the parade as much I'm sure as the spectators. As it should be!
Nice red photo, Gemma. It's a happy one too!
great choice of colors! Red is seen easily! :)
great capture of the smiling faces and the ruby! Happy Ruby Tuesday!
I see red!!! LOTS of red. As you say: "Parade of red"!!
NESTING HERON at paradise ponds in today's post.
The reds in this photo are unmistakable--as are the joyful faces of the children!
PAINT MY DAY RED!
A seeker of scarlet, they say,
Is likely to savor the day
If painted in red
Or ruby—instead
Of shades of monotonous grey!

A Hint of Ruby
Red is an attractive color, it draws attention to the marchers/students under s strong summer (Oz) sun. 150 years is a wonderful milestone!
What fun for them to be in a parade. Bright red is always an "eye catcher". Nice shot.
