Oh, dear sister, you have no idea how I long to sit in the shadows of the night...warm breezes blowing mysteries of the heart into my world...IT'S COMING...Sprintime! You can really feel it now, as the days are getting longer and new birds are coming into view, the ones that have been gone for so long.

It's funny, when you live in the Northern hemisphere and definitely north of the Mason Dixon line, you know the cold and the changes in the seasons are wondrous events, even winter(I lied)...!

Hope you aren't working too hard(that's a joke)and still going on your walks by the sea. Some of us are just workaholics, perfectionists at our craft, so time flutters by us and we ignore it, as if a passing insect in the night...'cept for mosquitoes, they tend to stick around to torture!

But the older we get, the more we notice the time and the urgency just doesn't seem to be there anymore, it'll come when it comes and it'll go when it goes...don't know about you, but I'm rather enjoying this 'Crone' phase in my life...I think!

Hope you've gotten some of your lost summer back...I remember well, those years of rain, when it just seemed like summer went somewhere else. The year 1993, the great floods of the Midwest, I had 18 inches of water in my yard most of the summer, lost all my gardens and many trees, it was a pain, but the next year was glorious with new gardens and hope!

So have a wonderful Sunday dearest friend from afar and know that I think of you often, though our busy lives don't give us the written contact we love...be well...and SING!!!

XOXOXOXO...s

as i'm typing...i look over and see this-

We are cups, constantly and quietly being filled. The trick is, knowing how to tip ourselves over and let the beautiful stuff out. ~~~Ray Bradbury

Perfect cover for a mystery novel! I love it!! I love the Ray Bradbury quote, too and how true it is! I also love Chekhov's words. There is frequently beauty wherever we look if we take the time to look and open our eyes and hearts. Hope your weekend is going well, Gemma! Enjoy!

It is that eerie mixture of dim light and no light at all. The mystery sits upstairs, shadows adding a sense of foreboding into a fantastic night adventure!

It is rather mysterious looking! Nice choice!

Very cool Gemma! When I worked in the production of motion pictures, many of the Directors of Photography were excellent at lighting for a cloudy or a full moon night shot. I don't know how they did it, but your photo looks like a scripted night scene. Good job.

Peace

My eyes are drawn immediately to the light...but then there are those mysterious and enticing shadows! Oh, my!

Asked shadows to come out and play:
“O shadows, my dears,
Despite all my fears,
I hope you will not run away.”

I really really like how moody and introspective this image is - and mysterious too. It's very unique and it's one of my favorite shadow shots of the day. have a beautiful week, and happy SSS!

Oooh I like this! If you're like me you probably spend quite a bit of time in the evening outside during summer. Unless you have air conditioning perhaps. I don't.

I hope you have a great week ahead Gemma. And I love your Impression photo of the seagulls in a couple of posts above. Wow that's awesome!
