Those electric wires in your photo remind me of my mother's Uncle Everett. I remember seeing him several times as a child and being fascinated by his almost total lack of fingers. Except for his thumbs and one forefinger, he had stumps where the fingers used to be, because as a child, on a dare, he touched some high-powered electric lines and fried off his digits. It's a wonder he wasn't killed!

I congratulate you on being able to incorporate so many disparate prompt words into an intelligible haiku!

See my follow-up post about the situation in my classes: Body English

And thank you, Gemma!

We're both rather 'dark' this week. I suppose the words lead us that way.

You did a great job melding these two memes together in your haiku. I am impressed. Your poems are smooth, coherent and emotional.

Superb...few words packed into a quite dark existence and reality like mine! I guess the prompts call for one, right?

Imminent darkness... I love the doom that line makes one feel upon reading it. Perfect closing to the previous ones.
Great writing and gorgeous picture.
Happy 3WW. Mine is up as well.

Beautiful Haikus and loved the pic very much The Cargo ship reminded me of the one I had been on .

Pain and stress tamper with smiles... so much of truth in that.

Excellent Haiku's my friend. :) One can only hope that it doesn't last long so that the smiles return and bring on imminent light :) Have a wonderful Wednesday :)
