AUSTRALIA ~ The Antipodes
I love a sunburnt country / A land of sweeping plains / Of ragged mountain ranges / Of droughts and flooding rains / I love her far horizons / I love her jewel-sea / Her beauty and her terror / The wide brown land for me / ~ Dorothea Mackellar (1885-1968)

Lovely dancing shadows, and cute red door! have a great Sunday Gemma.
This is a stunning portal to the abode - a bold sea of red is inset inside the brick facade. The stunning part is the sun with a shady tree leaving a beautiful shadow. A homestead of depth and style - a wonderful place!
Hey, dear sister, been a busy week here in the states...what am I talking about, they are always busy for me...my Dad is a workaholic, guess I got it from him. He's healthy as a horse at 82, still rides his BMW and works all the time on projects, guess that's the way of it for me.
I work in the new shop at night till it's too dark, but then me n Scratchy sit a spell, in the rockin' chair with a cuppa coffee and watch the traffic drive by, as the sun sets over the bluff...I love it and want to get as much done as I can before it's too cold to work out there, don't think I can afford to heat it, no insulation and it gets COLD here, as you know, but what a view I'll have from my kitchen window...a sweet lil' shop instead of a 4-lane.
Hope you aren't working too hard on all those student papers and are getting out for some of that wonderful Spring air. We can definitely feel Autumn in the air, the leaves are starting to turn brilliant scarlet colors...and soon there will be none!
Melancholy is setting in, as we know the truth of it, but it is what it is and we'll deal as it comes...but we don't have ta like it...RIGHT!!!
Be well and know that hugs are comin' from the states lil' sister!

What lovely soft shadows! The door makes a great backdrop!
What beautiful shadows, and I love your red door.
What a cool red door! The shadows falling across it are just so pretty! Have yourself a great week ahead Gemma. Gosh I can't believe the weekend is nearly over for us. I wonder if we could just switch to American time so that we could have Sunday all over again tomorrow and not go to work. Would anybody really notice if we scrapped Mondays? ;D
Probably, but it's a nice thought...
I wonder what's behind that mystery door...
Have a great week ahead!
Love it!!
Beautiful :)
I love this door, pretty red with shadow.
Love the red door -- the other day I took one of an old gray church with a bright red door -- so unexpected! Yours is beautiful.
