Still

Microfiction Monday #50 ~ where a picture paints 140 characters, or even fewer. Susan says:
Photos will be from my own archives; illustrations are from Dover Publications' free clipart sample newsletter.

I'm so very lucky!
Seeing the ships lets me be the girl who danced through a honeymoon cruise.
A locked, endless honeymoon...a still..

One wonders about the rest of the story. I felt a hint of sadness here.

Yes but love of 20 years later is often better! My 140 Hope your week goes well

Beauty, space, dream, peace. Yep, these are essential at this moment, for me too!

Hey that remembrance of a lifelong honeymoon, brought on by observing an oil tanker--that's the way I think! The sea is the thing, and whatever floats can evoke that fondest recollection.

PEACE to you also!

what a story to tell, beautiful.

Like Quilly, I catch a hint of sadness in this. That made the story grow in depth for me.

Have a wonderful week.

Gemma Wiseman said...

Quilly and Michael G-G are very clever! I tried to imbue a sense of something else in this micro. The clues are "locked" and "a still"...something frozen in time...like a still from a movie...There's the sadness...She dreams of a moment that progresses nowhere...Something happened on the honeymoon!

I love how memories, especially good ones, never leave us.

Suz said...

oh I don't like that word "still"
something else is going on here
but I hope the dancing was good for at least that night
