A nice reminder that as we in the Northern Blogosphere are entering Spring, you in the Southern Blogosphere are entering Autumn.

These leaves fought the good fight against Autumn's cooler temperatures. They however, lost against a cooler wind and thus fell from their perch. Shadows may be a metaphor for the cooler months and diminishing sunlight. The leaves at least still has the lovely sky tones of color...

Beautiful photo I haven't noticed yet that it is autumn here. Most days have been like summer

Beautiful shot. I like the gray woodgrain and how it sets off the leaves.

The leaves are lovely. Yours are changing colour and falling before our new leaves have come out yet!

Your area is getting ready for winter's slumber and ours is waking up from its sleep and saying "hello world". I am so happy to see the other viewpoints of the world. Thanks for visiting my first post today, I appreciate it. Joan

Hello dear friend, what a week I've had...friends visiting, antiquing all week and my little dog Scratchy went in for knee surgery.

It's funny how attached we become to our lil' furry heathens, only a days time, but you miss them so much, especially when you have the whole bed to yourself...strange!!!

But she's doing OK, not able to walk on her leg yet, she hobbles or stays in her chair and I baby her relentlessly...hey, it's my job, I'm the mom...ha!

Glad to hear you're getting out for a day of photos and fishing, what fun. The waters of our Mississippi river are so polluted, I would never eat a fish from there. Toxins from farm runoff, coal fired power plants and industrial waste, quite a toxic soup, but I remember when we ate lots of fish from the rivers and streams...before Monsanto moved in...argh!!!

Tomorrow, more planting in the garden, however, my tomatoes are covered with buckets tonight, supposed to be quite cold...again, all my windows are sealed tight...enough already, I wanna sleep with the windows open...it's my turn!

Sorry that your winter will soon be upon you, but have a little smile as you think of me reveling in the sun, rolling in the grass and sitting on my porch swing...and be glad that you don't have to worry about the next snowfall and it always comes, like it or not!

Be well dear friend, hope you got a lot of good catches!

Your best's bud and a hug!

Now that's what autumn is all about! Those lovely colours and then followed shortly after the sound of crunching under feet as the leaves dry. Crunch crunch crunch... :)
