Pic by Gemma Wiseman ~ About a year or so ago, I presented this little church at Red Hill, Mornington Peninsula.
But in the Autumn light of yesterday's wander, I loved this different perspective.
Red Hill used to be just a village surrounded by orchard country.
Now it is a village surrounded by equestrian properties, multi-purpose farmland, vineyards and boutique tourist accomodation.

That's a cute little church ! Looks so joyful and charming ! when I think of the monsters we have here, I mean these old catholic churches !
Girl, I love your Golden Music...truly music to mine ear!!!
It is truly staggering the amount of trash on our highways these days. I haven't seen it this bad since the 60's, before polluting became a major issue on our highways. People have gotten lazy here in the states, too long we've prospered.
We're a blue-color state, farms have gone by the wayside, taken over by shopping malls and sub-divisions. I can't stand to see farmstead after farmstead turned into snob communities of country wannabees.
If I could live more secluded from the masses, I would truly jump at the chance...so in the meantime, I plant tree rows to block them out...they just don't grow fast enough!
Going back outside to revel in my Spring...weeeeee...
Love you sister!

that is a nice church...thanks for the visit
This looks like a friendly church where people really get to know each other well. :)
The helicopter, not a chopper coming to rescue someone on the cliff? I was watching one of your search and rescue TV docu, and it wasn't easy to watch.
What a lovely little church! But it probably does get missed by people these days and with so much going on around it. There are surely good things about "growth", but some of the lovely, older things tend to get looked over or past. Great post as always, Emma! Hope you have a great week!

In the scheme of life, the small cross could be obscured by the bright white building. However, the spiritual ruby stands out all the more, the red making us pay attention to the reason for Easter. The church is not grand but simple, the glory being in the members of the church and not a grand edifice. A lovely Easter capture!
I like that style and the red against the white draws me in.
That's one way to effectively call attention.

Hi Gemma. It's always strange to see an area change over time as much as this one has. I like your pictures and enjoyed sharing the memories.
the red cross (wink) is attention catching. i attend a church that's as small as this one. very cozy.

I do like the sun....how it's lighted the quaint little church. I bet the area is wonderful.
Won't you visit my Ruby Tuesday? I'd love to have your company today.
That is such a charming church. I really like the friendly feeling. I imagine it's peaceful inside.
that is a sweet little church
the red cross on the white building really stands out
Hello, Gemma
Stopped by to see your photos.
A simple small church must be very friendly where everybody knows you by name.
The photo with the Red cross against the pure white background different perspective in comparison to the first photo.
A lesson to learn for all of us, to walk around to view through the lens from another angle.
oh my thats perfect for RT! :) love the angle on the first photo :)
u may view mine here
Perfect red cross--in any season. Nice choice for Ruby Tuesday. Happy Autumn!
What a nice homey church. Much better than the huge monuments to man we so often see!
Interesting in red color...
