Pic by Gemma Wiseman ~ A rescue holicopter hovering over a rock (offshore Sorrento Back Beach on Westernport Bay) created an unusual scenic seascape.

Pic by Gemma Wiseman ~ More surprising, the helicopter, for just a moment or two, landed on the rock!

Pic by Gemma Wiseman ~ More surprising still, I was able to hold the camera steady (I was excited about all this!) as the helicopter took flight again and I managed to get a shot before it quickly rose in the air!

Pretty exciting. Thats being in the right place at the right time. Happy Easter. Valerie
WOW...I have a small municipal airport about a mile down the road from me, but the planes fry right over my house to the runway, lately we have been having the huge military choppers fly over. They are so loud they make the windows rattle. Can you just imagine being in war torn countries where these craft are everyday occurrences...I'd go crazy with fear from them...cool shots though.
Were they rescuing someone from the ocean or just practicing???
What a neat thing to see. Happy Easter!
Wow, I would have been excited, too. Great series.
Nice one, Gemma! I love it when I have my camera and something interesting happens.
Neat - how else could anyone get on that rock but by helicopter? So cool that you captured this little story in photos.
How cool. Very good capture my friend. It must have been very exciting to watch that. Happy Easter to you and your family :)
