AUSTRALIA ~ The Antipodes
I love a sunburnt country / A land of sweeping plains / Of ragged mountain ranges / Of droughts and flooding rains / I love her far horizons / I love her jewel-sea / Her beauty and her terror / The wide brown land for me / ~ Dorothea Mackellar (1885-1968)

Beyond the Classroom

Pic by Gemma Wiseman ~ Sign outside Sorrento Primary School, Mornington Peninsula.
I love this sign because it reminds me that the 2 week school Easter break has now begun!
And, I can take some time wandering the beaches on the Mornington Peninsula and taking lots of photos.
My kind of heaven!

You're so right to point to all the forms of learning that giving attention to our daily lives brings :-)

I'd be fast on your heels to the beach I'm afraid...it doesn't take much for me to escape these walls. I'm just so fortunate that my job forces me to do what I love...SHOPPING!!!

And photography...to journal my daily escapades and post them to blog is a paradise on Earth for me...so many friends to be had and adventures to be shared. I hope that some day my dream of seeing Australia comes true...guess who's door I'll be knocking on...?

Be forewarned...ha!

Hi Gemma, I don't think we get Easter break...and did you really say 'two weeks?' That's like heaven for my kids. They want to move to Australia now.

Everyone needs a break now and then. I love the photos of your peninsula especially the one of the storm coming and the sun rays. You live in a beautiful place!

thanks for visiting and leaving such a nice comment ... it was actually a planned shot, normally I just dont think about what I am doing but I wanted to include some of the truck so you could see what it was reflecting ...
