Every time you mention Autumn, I get the oddest sense of disjunction. I bit like watching a film full of rain or snow and walking out of the cinema into sunshine.

I know what you mean. The onset of winter always pulls me into a sullen mood. Yesterday I laid out in the sun for the first day this spring and felt rejuvenated.
