Pic by Gemma Wiseman ~ My Kitaro CD's.
Kitaro has been my favourite musician for many years.
He is the cooling calm for my mind and the gym workout for my soul.

Monday Poetry Potluck ~ Peace, Relaxation and Spirituality
~
NOTE: The following poem is an experimental journey through the haunting, peaceful, relaxing, spiritual world of Kitaro's music.
The words in blue are some of his titles.
The poem links them together.
Oasis
Eternal Spring of
Cosmic Energy
where
Moonlight on the
Shimmering Horizon
awakens the
Moondance
Cosmic Love
within the
Fragrance of Nature
in the Beginning
an old
Silk Road
charmed the
Flight of the Spirit
a Mysterious Encounter
with the
Symphony of the Forest
stirred a
Magical Wave
to the
Symphony of Dreams
like a
A Drop of Silence
buoyed on a
Silver Cloud
in
Transit on the Wind
beyond the
Howling Thunder
I felt
Innocent People
on a
Journey to a Fantasy
like a
Glittering Green
Stream of Being
in
Endless Water
ultimate
Mandala
and
Revelation

Journey and The Road Ahead

Monday Poetry Potluck #17 ~ Journey and The Road Ahead
~
I know You are there...
Reaching into unfiltered sands
Like a shipping channel
Chartered
But with seasonal warnings attached...
Offering me an umbrella
Sometimes...
Convertible for
The chance of rain
Or sun...
But not so good on those
Blustery
Windy days...
Yet always
I know You are there...
I feel like a pioneer...
Some days
Bumping along in a home-made wagon...
Other days
Cast adrift
Alone
In a dinghy...
Glare
Grit
Frost
Scorching sun
The hollow pain of aching for
Holistic food...
And all the while I know
I am committed
To walk
Ride or sail or drive
Maybe run
Maybe fly
Onwards...
I know You are there
Going somewhere...
For I taste the scents of questions
Sweet eagerness
Spicey concern
And ultimately know...
Nothing...
I dream of Your precious chalice
Always waiting for my celebratory wine to pour
And fill...
(Sometimes
You tease me with
A brief whiff...)
Exclusive vintage from
My watery, limpid tomorrows
Magically turned into the wine of memories...
But I do understand just one thing...
I need to tread the grapes
In naked feet
Before
My yellow brick road
Rises
To meet me

Monday Poetry Potluck #16 ~ Celebrations and Festivities
~
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Here are 4 cameo glimpses of the essence of celebration and festivity, without the baubles and the glitter.
2 everyday sporting experiences frame what was and what may be.
The 4 poems (separated by the icon bells) may work as a holistic, seasonal cycle, or perhaps just one rings with your music.
If you like to dig a little, there are levels in these poems.
But if you don't have the time or the energy, the poems have surface colours you may like.
Here are poems for everyone and anyone.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Fishing
Sometimes the endless untangling of lines
Sometimes the small ones
Tossed back till
Another day
Sometimes the yarn of
The one that got away
Sometimes
(And only sometimes)
The mighty catch
The trophy to take home
Strange
The celebration of fishing is
Not about trophies
The real joy of fishing is
Fishing
When it's the festive season for
Changing of the guard
Yesterday becomes
Time on ice
Rough and smoothe textures
Preserved
Often
It's then we see
The glistening beauty of trinkets
The small moments
When it's the festive season for
Changing of the guard
Tomorrow becomes
Time in the wings
Like a recipe waiting
Waiting for ingredients to gather
To mix
To bake
To chill
To be
Presented
Cricket
Sometimes the batter
Sometimes the bowler
Sometimes the yarn of
The one that got away
Sometimes
(And only sometimes)
From way out in left field
The catcher scores
The mighty catch
The trophy to take home
Strange
The celebration of cricket is
Not about trophies
The real joy of cricket is
Cricket

A Time to Muse
Pic by Gemma Wiseman ~ A view of boats offshore at Rosebud beach, Mornington Peninsula

Monday Poetry Potluck ~ Week #15 ~ Reflections, Interpretations and Musings
~
Journeys completed
A mix of rough and still seas
Christmas anchorage
I feel a better sailor
Seas yet to be sailed
A mix of fear and wonder
New year challenges
I hope I practise new skills
And in the rolling
Chameleon
Mists
May the music of life
Emerge...
Take form
Substance
Reach
Charm
Soothe
The cowering shadows of
The mind
The lonely sighs of
The soul
