The lone scallop shell sits on the sand, its shapely countenance brightening up the drab wet sand. It stands out nicely!

Lovely shell. Looking for shells is my favorite thing to do at the beach. I can walk for miles along the water's edge searching for that perfect shell. Plus the sound of the ocean is amazing.
