One Summer Day...

Dromana beach scene on the one summer day we have had so far in November.
Even Spring seems to be hiding on most days!
(Mount Martha is in the background!)

Summer sands and skies
A touch of red on the beach
Quite noticeable

Light

Boats moored quietly in early morning light at Schnapper Point, Mornington Peninsula

Falls and trails of light
A sign of gentle guidance
Like an outstretched hand

Be Still

Spending time on Dromana beach during a brief glimpse of summer-like weather.

Inhale the sea salts
Be still for a little while
Take time to just be

Dromana Bridge

This is McCulloch Street leading from Dromana on the foreshore up into the Dromana Hills on Arthurs Seat mountain.
Toward the centre of this photo you can see one of several Mornington Peninsula freeway bridges.

Easing traffic flow
Functional bridge with small charm
Beauty of access

The bridge is of simple design but practically it's a very effective link between the peninsula townships.
(I took this photo in between the swooshing of the wiper blades! Almost made it!)

Art of Schapelle Corby

Schapelle Corby is an Australian charged with possession of drugs and currently in an Indonesian prison.
She is serving a sentence of 20 years.
Questions about her innocence continue.
See more details HERE!
This artwork is based on her plight and is for sale at the Gaga Gallery, Tootgarook on the Mornington Peninsula.
I'm not sure if it was intended, but the word "innocence" on the tag is broken into what sounds like "in-no-sense"! Quite ambiguous!
It has been reported that her family - father and brother - have questionable practices too!
Should they be implicated?

Drug offences charge
Schapelle's dysfunctional home
Broken young lifestyle

Tomorrow

Scrambled mixed blessings
Charm of procrastination
Deferred commitment

Hope of some maybes
A screened window on unknowns
A contrived welcome

This one legged pigeon hangs around the entrance to Dromana Hub.
Always alone.

Flower Near the Beach

Even near the beach sands, flowers may be found.
The occasional one of these may be found by Dromana beach on the Mornington Peninsula.

Like a little star dancing
Wishes on the winds

Jet Ski Season

On the one day when there was a sign of Summer, the jet skies were humming on the waters of Port Phillip Bay.
This photo was taken at Safety Beach when one jet ski decided to rest in the late afternoon light.

A Kookaburra Up Close!

Kookaburras visit our home in the Dromana Hills on the Mornington Peninsula.
They don't seem to mind being photographed!

Wetlands Bridge

Unusual little bridge across Pun Pun Creek wetlands at Balnarring.
There's even a little platform either side of the walkway for viewing the water life more closely!

I Saw a Strange Garden Feature

After many days of rain, last Sunday there appeared a little sun.
I decided to go for a walk not far from home because the grey clouds still seemed to be hanging around.
In McCrae, just south of my home in Dromana, I found this odd feature in a front garden.
It looks like some kind of old farming equipment.
If anyone knows what it's called I'd be glad to know.

Proud old equipment
Usefulness turned into art
Curious treasure

Blossom Shadows

I liked how the flowering tree cast a spray of shadow patterns on my neighbour's car!

Summer love awaits
