The leaves sit under a warm Spring sun in Victoria. Happily, you are in the warmth as we move toward – snow, alas…the sun allows for shadows of lovely flora :)

I believe in that era, a pineapple was a sign of hospitality – the fruit display was a welcome for the guests. Back then, a pineapple from the Caribbean could probably only be afforded by the most well-to-do and refined. Like this family…

Hey, those are really beautiful! What worthy shadows!
I would be completely honored if you would include my (still theoretical) meme in your weekly roundup - I'll let you know what happens with it! Thanks!

Great collage, the leaves are gorgeous and the shadows are so crisp and clear. Love the little planter in the centre.

Beautiful photos so artfully arranged! I like how you used the wrought iron leaves and their shadows as the center shot.

Wonderful collage. I especially like the pretty curve of the stem and the way the shadows show through on the leaves of the first shot.

You've done a wonderful job putting this collage together, Gemma. I especially like the photo in the middle that anchors everything together.

SHADOWY DELIGHT

Shadows above me, shadows below,
Shadows beside me, wherever I go;

Shadows each morning, shadows at night—
Shadows, O shadows, you’re my delight!
