AUSTRALIA ~ The Antipodes

Sensational Haiku Wednesday prompt ~ Shadow
~

I thought I knew you
The answer to my darkness
My eternal sunlight

I loved my new dawn
But somehow ignored sunset
Natural passing

That new darkness
Yesterday's reality
Shadow of my soul
~

NOTE:
My beautiful grey cat is named Shadow!
But I chose not to make a connection with her because she gets a regular
feature spot here every Sunday!

These haiku are poignant. I hear a heartbreaking. And the accompanying photo seems suitably lonely, yet somehow it all comes together and makes beauty. Very well done.

Serene shadow picture stirs my soul. Your post encompasses both ends of the spectrum, literally, and so meaningfully.

Reminds me to look at both sides of the same coin, proverbally. Thank you for sharing such insight, I will take it to heart. All wonderfully written!
