AUSTRALIA ~ The Antipodes
I love a sunburnt country / A land of sweeping plains / Of ragged mountain ranges / Of droughts and flooding rains / I love her far horizons / I love her jewel-sea / Her beauty and her terror / The wide brown land for me / ~ Dorothea Mackellar (1885-1968)

Textures and Rhythms

Pic by Gemma Wiseman ~ Lots of rain this year in the Dromana Hills seems to make the Autumn leaves emerge slowly.
But the rain creates interesting gloss on the leaves and rich textures on tree trunks.
3WW #CCXXXVI ~ evident + illusion + tragic

Tiny spirit tiny rhythm
Textures of a tragic grimace
Stretching far and evident
Its the illusion of branded
New leaves

Gemma, Your photos are always a treat; and when I read the words you fluidly string together, highlighting a facet of the image I may have missed, I am delighted all over again. You marry the two arts so well.

I love the rich colors in this photo, so I'm grateful for the rain!
