I measure out my life with haiku. My camera films my soul. ~ Gemma Wiseman
AUSTRALIA ~ The Antipodes
I love a sunburnt country / A land of sweeping plains / Of ragged mountain ranges / Of droughts and flooding rains / I love her far horizons / I love her jewel-sea / Her beauty and her terror / The wide brown land for me / ~ Dorothea Mackellar (1885-1968)

Oh how I love it when I stumble on illustrated poems. Just lovely. Now, time for tea!
Ordinary objects take on extraordinary beauty when our eyes are truly open.
WELCOME THE SHADOWS
Welcome the shadows surrounding your life,
Treat them as lover or husband or wife;
Welcome them in as you would one who’s dear;
Hug them, embrace them without any fear;
Honor, respect them, and give them their due,
For shadow and light are both parts of you.

Delightful shadow shot for the day, Gemma! Love the shining silver tea set and the perfect words as always! Hope you're enjoying a lovely weekend!
Sylvia
I do not think there is a more elegant shadow this week!
This is such a lovely picture! The reflections and shadows add to the beauty of the tea set, and there is a little surprise under the left leg of the teapot for good measure!
Beautifully elegant Gemma!
lovely words, and this is a real feel-good photo.
A silver tea set - the style of old world elegance. It seems that a high tea (which I have never had the pleasure of an invite) is of a past that never changes. The silver setting is lovely, the tea warm, the cucumber sandwiches thin and the scones with cream warm. It would be a treat!
Nice tea set...happy SSS!
oh be still our hearts! We love silver Gemma - and of course shadows as well.....
We'll have to have "virtual" tea together - ha!! Enjoy your weekend!

That's a beautiful shadow shot!
My shadow post, have a good night!
Very elegant shadow shot.
What a lovely tea set! I'll bring the cupcakes! Have a super holiday Gemma! Pity about the weather forecast but they often get it wrong so maybe you'll have a few sunny days. Fingers crossed!
Very nice Shadow Shot. Your words divine! At first, I saw the word shrine, not shine, as morning beverage is honored and appreciated here to such a degree, people do indeed worship it. Nice sharp hard shadows from those delicate legs. Cheers.
Peace
Wonderful shot! What a lovely tea set! Thanks for sharing!
Pretty....but I must ask...is that a table that is made to LOOK like a book? Or is the silverware sitting on a large real book?

It's always a delight to have you visit with me when you get a chance...Hope your Sunday treats you well.
I love the look of shiny silver. Unfortunately, I'm not fond of cleaning it. :)) Lovely shots, Gemma!!
oh my gosh gemma...i have a tea set just like that...except mine is not shiny...it is in desparate need of polishing...however, shining is not the theme at my house...non polished fits right in.
my set sits on two old suitcases, on the floor, with some books resting behind it.
i'm tickled...you've made my day!!
Charming composition, your picture is perfect!I love the reflections, a creative idea!

Lovely photo. You have a beautful set.
I love the brightness of the sunshine and the sharpness of the shadows in this. Lovely!
The shadows and reflections make for a beautiful capture. I love it when I suddenly discover I have caught something special I did’t know was there. Is that you in the reflection??? Beautiful work this week.
Lovely set and pretty shadows!
