Friday Flash 55
~
It was raining again…
Like tears rushing from some fathomless well of loneliness…
My loneliness meant holiday confusion…
After all the clamour of half breakfasts before your flight to work in snarling traffic…
After the daily joy of seeing you return home safe…
Now there is just this hollow moment of staring at a stranger…

He look so curious. but I can tell he is smilling for your shot.
Lovely captured.
Please have a great Friday : )
Your poem inspired a flash of recognition for me. Thank you.
That doggie looks like he could be a very fine companion. Great expression. The thumbnail looked, in a flash, like it could have been a bear!
That's the look of "don't mess up with me" hahaha!
Are you sure you don't have a new pet? He looks like he wants to stay.
Have you ever noticed how many dogs always seem to have that "pleading" expression which tugs at the heart strings?
He looks like he's saying I want a cuddle!
PS. That spot in Sorento is one of my favourites too - I always get a coffee and chocolate cake from Stringers and sit outside facing the sea.
Have a good Friday.
Cheers,

Love your 55...and they dog picture too. :-)
My 55
awww...there is a sadness in the unrecognition...nice 55...and a cute pic of the pup...my 55 is up!
OOps....something on your blog made my computer crash...but I returned to read your 55.
I can just 'hear' his thoughts on this. Excellent work Gemma.
"Pop...goes the weasel" is my link to my 55...just scroll down below the Halloween part. I do hope you can find time to visit with me! Have a super Friday, and a blessed weekend.
That doggie wants to be friends.
Your 55 sounds like the stillness causes you grief. For me, it would be the opposite.
Beautiful chocolate lab! Looks like my old CoCo!
Gemma...
Your story sounds so very familiar.
Sad how some things evolve..
Most Excellent 55 My Friend.
I hope this IS indeed fiction..
Thanks for playing, and have a Kick Ass Week-End...G
Oh my gosh he's gorgeous and you can just feel the look. Very well told my friend. Loved this :) Have a great weekend :)
Always wondered what dogs were thinking. Great 55.
What a nice visitor!
Awww. :)
Kind of sweet and sad and cuddly all at the same time.
Thanks for doing Friday 55! :)
Mine's been posted here since last night, but it's taken me this long to visit and leave comments. Sorry about that.
Isn't it amazing how pets can look so betrayed? Sweet, sad 55.
And you are?, he says Thanks for reading my Friday 55. Hope your week goes well
