That is a cool name for a bird. He looks cute alongside his shadow.
So that's what a kookaburra looks like! I like him, and his shadow!
What a sweet lil' soul, probably wondering the same as he strikes a pose...don't ya wonder what goes on in their lil' feathery brains...FOOD!!!
Looks like spring is getting closer, as your grass is greening, ours is browning...the death of a season brings life to the far side of the Earth...enjoy every moment with that funny little Kookaburra...
More hugs dear friend!

kookaburra's always seem to have such character! Great photos!
A kookaburra! Wow. Needless to say, we don't have them here in NM, but it is fun to see your encounter!
That is such a cute little bird Gemma.
he looks so sweet in the second shot :)
Oh, I love it..I always get excited to catch a shot like this.
Wonderful job Gemma..Beautiful bird too.
Happy SSS.
what a beautiful little guy. i think the kookaburra is my favorite bird from your parts. you captured great shots of him.
The shadow of the bird nearly doubles his size, adding to his stature. Small he seems, but happily he has a nice day to admire his shadow...
cute shadow shot here...
Awww...he's such a little cutie! I so rarely see kookaburras on the ground. He must have been digging for worms! He sure appears to be very comfortable with you taking pics of him. Probably enjoying the attenion :)
Small kookaburra,
it seems as though some sadness
steals through your laughter.
Wonderful ;--)
It's fun to see the little bird we sang about all those years as kids!
Hugs and blessings,
