Pic by Gemma Wiseman ~ Summer on Dromana beach, Mornington Peninsula.
When I took this photo, I noticed people seemed to be more than happy just being by water.
There were far more people lazing on the beach than swimming to cool down in the water.
Strange!?

That leads me to ask - how cold was the water!!?
Although I LOVE to swim, I am happy sometimes to just hear and see the water with immersion.
Oh, and NAPPING by the sea is divine (as long as your not being burned!)...
not at all strange.. some of my fondest memories on the beach did not include me touching the water... what a beautiful day....
very good blog, congratulations
regard from Reus Catalonia
thank you
Wanna trade weather with me? I'm having continuous rain here :P
The very word 'water' must have healing properties for Victorians.
Looks like the perfect day to spend time in the beach. Looks like summer. Nice shot.
Being near the ocean would make me happy too! Are you allowed to jump off the pier? That's where I would be, jumping off!!!
That looks like fun! I love the beach and try to go at least once every summer.

I like the picture of the beach. .
I long for the summer we have a lot of snow here.

I think just being in the presence of the ocean alone is enough to soothe whatever psychic aches you may have.
But I just noticed the button on your sidebar that says you're "Over 50 and Bloggin'". Surely that can't be! Either you're having us on or the years have been far kinder to you than they've been to me. Or to most of us.
Haven't heard from you in a while, did you get caught up in the firestorm down there? Terrible, terrible business. Hope you're okay and got through it without too much damage.
oh what fun! and a beautiful day.
Not strange to me. I rarely go to the beach to get in the water. I just enjoy looking at it and feeling the sand between my toes. This photo makes me want to do just that. :-)
I'm drooling you know...it was a balmy 49 degrees here yesterday and we're all feeling spring fever, but we know March can be a very long month, can come in like a lion and go out like a lion and well in to April too...ahhh...to see the buds of Spring.
Your Mornington looks so inviting...I feel a trip to the beach coming on, my Mother in Florida is anxious for a trip from her daughter...maybe soon...
Hugs friend...s
I would at least be looking at what was swimming in the water..even if it was cold...
