Just my kind of picture. I am having trouble loading your site - this is my third attempt.
This is a mirror of our lives isn't it Gemma...dream moments. I didn't realize we were so close in age. I did the birth chart and am amazed as to it's accuracy...and fun too. Good to know you better from across the pond.
The buggy is a common form of travel for the Amish people in the states. They have colonies all over and have embrased the old ways. Still wearing long skirts of plain dark colors, men with beards signifying marraige, straw and leather hats, bonnets for the women and children, one room school houses, children walking hand in hand to school, olders taking care of youngers. Fields cultivated by draft horses, behind vintage plows and rakes. To see these people up close and to photograph in secret, as they don't like pictures taken, is something that I look forward to everytime I drive to Sisters'. No TV, radio or anything of man's accomplishments that have soiled the earth...a simple, uncomplicated life, fascinating...a secret dream.
Have a wonderful week friend!

Hi Gemma! Lovely monochrome shot - we can hear the sea gulls - is it morning in the shot? That's what we imagine it to be!!
Have a great week!
I love the monochrome effect, looked so vivid! :)
A great black & white
Simply elegant in mono.
Great shot. I got some shots on the pier this weekend. Maybe I should do my first monochorme Monday post. :-)
Beautiful and relaxing photo! And I really liked the words that came with it too. :) Lovely post!
