Pic by Gemma Wiseman ~ Arthurs Seat home almost overgrown with wild Spring growth. This home has been empty for at least 5 years.

Pic by Gemma Wiseman ~ But the back shows a sad, neglected home at Arthurs Seat, Mornington Peninsula. The steps are crumbling and the lower roof is sinking down. The mound of dirt implies something is evolving. But, in actual fact, the mound is on the spare block behind the property.

It is always a shame when a viable house is destroyed - by time or deliberate action.
Your photos are beautiful Gemma. :)
so nobody wants to live here? what a shame - looks like a beautiful home
Really lovely shots, Gemma - I think I like the last one best of all (not that you asked!). Just something about the composition...
I love the textures of "ruined"! Here's mine:

Have a great weekend!
That second picture is so beautiful, it's certainly not ruined that one!
I wonder why nobody's taking care of a beautiful place like this.
i love the angle of the gates with the background of the ruined place. mine is up as well. happy photo hunting!
What a sad sight. And such a waste of what looks like it was once beautiful.
I'll buy it!!! Looks like a great home if fixed up properly. And beautiful property too.
My Native American Sonoran Desert Ruin is posted...come join me, won't you?
Happy Hunting!
It's so sad to see a lovely home left neglected to fall to ruin.
I hate to see houses in such disrepair. :(
I did Photo Hunt today, too. I hope you get a chance to visit and leave your link!

Have a great weekend!
i so do not understand homes going to rot with so many homeless in the world... we have one directly across from my work... empty for over a year,, for no other reason that the park took possession of the land it sits on...
What a pity this house has gone to ruins... it looks like a very beautiful property. I love the last shot through the gate! :)
It's sad that such a lovely place has been left unattended for so long.
But, the gate is beautifully shaped! Nice shots. :)
My Ruined Happy Hunting!
It's such a shame to see a once-loved house fall to ruin.
