To hold a gift of Nature in your hand
To be at one with tiny breathing life
To see the charm of water souls on land
To feel the pulse of peace without the strife
Is knowing that the treasures of this earth
Are not the precious metals that we think
Nor are they gems that promise wealth re-birth
Nor are they guarantees that pain will shrink.
It's understanding that we share our space.
We live to give a richer life to all.
Our mansions are our inner hope and grace
Where Eden gardens blossom strong and tall.
And no one knows the universe within,
A secret world beneath a clay like skin.

She swoons in the never-ending pat
Soft cushions give her a charming refrain
Dreams are sweet on her window mat

A brush of her fur is her daily champagne
Selective food ensures she's not fat
Tuned into a psychologist's vein
She's a princess, a wit, a cool, cool cat


A Cleopatra with romantic hat
A lively dancer who abhors the rain
A singer who sighs like a spoilt brat
An actress who prides in prim disdain


A beautiful soul who keeps me sane
A dearest friend who loathes a spat
Her rubs and eyes ease my stress and pain
A treasure who loves an int'resting chat


Her character swings like a ball and bat
From funny to serious and back again
She's so very special and she knows that

 Diving into the swimming pool
Now the beach ball has a new hole
Scrambling out to chase the cat
And piddle on the WET PAINT pole

And the clothes line gets attention
Such a tempting long long sheet
A skip and a jump
And a little bite
And a spin round the world is so neat

 But hey! Is that Mum and Dad shouting!
Stop! Drop!
What a great rhyme!
They love my wonderful talents
