There are many fascinating interpretations of scarecrows to be found around Red Hill and the mountain of Arthurs Seat.
Some unusual scarecrows are mask-like faces on decorative boards that have been added to colourful posts gracing the side of Arthurs Seat Road at Red Hill.
There is a tall, Queen-like figure and even a giant snail.
There is a blue gowned figure hanging from a tree.

Lone and Maybe Lonely Seagull

Pic by Gemma Wiseman ~ In recent days, a lone seagull wanders round our home in the Dromana Hills, Mornington Peninsula.
Constantly he circles, then lands, then feeds, then circles again and lands.
(Repeat this many times!)
Often he tries to sit with the cockatoos, but they don't want his company.
No surprises that we have named the seagull, Jonathan.
He features in this mosaic on our back verandah.
