AUSTRALIA ~ The Antipodes

AUSTRALIA ~ The Antipodes
I love a sunburnt country / A land of sweeping plains / Of ragged mountain ranges / Of droughts and flooding rains / I love her far horizons / I love her jewel-sea / Her beauty and her terror / The wide brown land for me / ~ Dorothea Mackellar (1885-1968)

Honeybees

Yellow jacket wasp

Much like yin and yang
Honeybees and wasps wear gold
But one goes to war

NOTE: I was thinking of two concepts.
The Yellow Wasps were a paramilitary group active in the Bosnian War in the 1990's.
The Honeybees are an acapella gospel group based in Sydney.

That warrior scares the daylights out of me. The gentle honeybee not so much. Nice haiku.

Awesome haiku Gemma. Love the picture you paint in it of the differences between wasps and honeybees.
