AUSTRALIA ~ The Antipodes

AUSTRALIA ~ The Antipodes
I love a sunburnt country / A land of sweeping plains / Of ragged mountain ranges / Of droughts and flooding rains / I love her far horizons / I love her jewel-sea / Her beauty and her terror / The wide brown land for me / ~ Dorothea Mackellar (1885-1968)

Empty

Erased summer charms
Holiday costumes are gone
Empty sands and seas

But in distant greys
Like dust on a cam'ra lens
One lone rider dreams

Very nice haiku and pictures. They describe so well the end of a season and thoughts for the future one. Thank you.

Loved your words. The pictures are so expressive too. You can just feel the slight chill of autumn setting in.
