This guy decided he was going to walk with me awhile along the Rye foreshore on the southern end of the Mornington Peninsula.
He even deigned to smile for a photo shoot!
Four legged new friend
Quietly walking with me
Surprise connection
Finally he decided to wander off into the morning shadows seeking his owner.
(Earlier, I saw his owner on the sands.
Originally the dog was romping in the surf chasing a stick.
I left the beach for this walkway and the dog followed me!)

This guy was looking for a travel companion, someone that enjoys the lovely spring air. The smile is genuine, hopefully you will meet up again and soon!
What a friendly guy! And what a great smile! It's funny how they seem to pick out new friends! I've had a couple do that, too, -- well when I didn't have Sam Schnauzer with me -- he doesn't encourage to "pick up" new friends without his approval! Enjoy!

What a wonderful smile he has! I just love big yellow dogs!

I absolutely love his smile! Very cool!
What a lovely and friendly guy! His smile is contagious - it made ME smile too!
What a treat for you (and the dog as well!!) Thanks to both of you for the great shadow today! Enjoy your day Gemma!!
Looks like you did find a new friend--no questions, no judgements, just quiet companionship. Love your haiku. Have a great week. Mickie :)
What a friendly chap, he even gave us all a smile, love the shadows you captured with him.
What a fun shot for the week! Love his smile and your haiku!
My friend, with the utmost of respect, I will tell you I would love to walk along the shore with you. You are quite amazing. Your photos, your haiku. It would be an interesting conversation to say the least. The canine knew this instinctively and took advantage of the opportunity, just as I would have I has been there.
I put in a new link to my blog at Hey Harriet's. I screwed up the first one. Hope you have time to take a look.
Peace
Gemma my goodness this guy took quite a liking to you and mustered that smile up especially for that shot .. I think he thought you needed some company for a bit .. so he did his best for you ? LOL
