Camellia in the Shadows

For some reason, camellias seem to reach full bloom then just fall onto the pathway.

Oh, another gorgeous flower and delightful shadow! Such a delightful color! And such a great capture with the light and shadow! Superb, Gemma! So lovely to see the flowers in your world as they are beginning to succumb to fall here in mine!

Such a beautiful flower, such a shame it doesn't last longer. Congratulations on capturing its fleeting beauty, Gemma.

This is a beautiful find, the pink and shadowy flower falls onto the path. Perhaps rose petals are too common, the camellias are distinctive and beautiful flora - a lovely addition to the path to be trod...

You have shown us that beauty can be even in a shadow.

I adore camillias. Used to have a very prolific bush in Phoenix and you are right: Once in full bloom the darn things fell off the plant. I always had several floating in a bowl of water! Lovely ShadowShot.

OK, now you've done it,you've got me longing for the camellia bushes just under my bedroom window in Florida...the days turn colder and drearier as Autumn puts our flowers to rest, I have time to comment on the blogs and dream of heading South for the winter, not this year, but perhaps next I'll be hitting the road for the warmer climes of Florida...first I gotta find me a chicken sitter...HA!

Hope my little friend is recovering quicker, now that Spring is setting a different mood down under. It seems surreal, the changing of the seasons on each of our continents, as we've become close friends to so many foreigners...who knew...but what a great way to communicate...now, if you could just get me to use facebook...ha...I just don't get it! I've been over playing with Pinterest these days sharing photographs for my gypsy soul blog, Air Bohemia...that cleaver North wind is stirring my desires to hit the road. I'm a loner and a wanderer and I believe I have been in many lives...and I'm still searching...very unsettling in this life.

But visiting all of my SSS friends helps quench that traveling thirst...some day!!! So know I'm thinking of ya Gemma, across those beautiful seas, take a deep breath of it for me...K...

Mucho hugs sista!!!

FOR LOVE OF SHADOW

Tell your shadow that you love her,
Spurn your shadow, if you dare.
Keep your shadow out of darkness,
Keep her in the sun’s harsh glare!

I will ask the next one I see on the pathway just why they do that. I will wait for an answer, just so I can watch their beauty.
I'm glad you post two shadow shots, twice the pleasure visiting Oz.

Peace
