I love a sunburnt country / A land of sweeping plains / Of ragged mountain ranges / Of droughts and flooding rains / I love her far horizons / I love her jewel-sea / Her beauty and her terror / The wide brown land for me / ~ Dorothea Mackellar (1885-1968)

Bees

Bee on a Spring flower in my garden in the Dromana Hills.
The flower is commonly known as Patterson's Curse!
I'm not sure if the name is because the plant can spread wildly or the fact it attracts so many bees!

Where the bees wander
Flowers flourish beautifully
A honeyed moment

Wonderful photos! Love the intense color and it's amazing how you captured the eyes of the bee.

Too pretty a flower to be anyone's curse! Isn't attracting bees a good thing?
