I never thought of shadows as echoes, but they are--they are!
I HAD A LITTLE SHADOW
(With apologies to Robert Louis Stevenson)
I had a little shadow
No bigger than my thumb;
I took him to the meadow
And there I gave him rum.
My drunken little shadow
Did weave and bob and pitch;
He stumbled from the meadow
And fell into a ditch!

Cloud Shadows
The shadow is great, a sunny day where we cannot decide to eat - the sign and shadow give us two views, and the result is the food must be doubly good inside. A good shadow is also a fine reason to visit I'd say!
What a wonderful find! Don't you love places that help us with our shadow searches? Beautiful photo, Gemma.

it's a very nice touch too. great shadow shot Gemma - the tones are beautiful. a soothing photo. happy SSS.
What a nice shadow shot. It really dos sneak up on you. Very subdued, but just perfect.
Very stylish indeed. I love the long lines from the light fixtures. I have to mention, with astigmatism, when I don't wear my glasses, those letters are what everything looks like to me all the time. Weird, eh?
Good find!
Peace
Fantastic sharp shadows.
Oh dear friend, this is the one thing I fear the most, a broken bone, it's so debilitating, you can't get anything finished properly. I've never had a broken bone and I'm surprised, as bifocals leave little to be desired when trying to navigate the yard in a rush, but I'm trying to slow down(yeah right)and take every day in stride, with the economy and world crisis 'round every corner, it's a troubling toil indeed. But having the happy spaces that I have in my lil' homestead, the troubles are eased by the every day joys...you know, just being and taking it all in!
I too am so lax these days on my blogging, too much to do in so little time, this is what's important to me right now, getting the food stores ready for the next season, as I'm doubling the bounty this year, sure hope Ma Nature complies with my plans. Just having the few chickens I do have will supply a steady supply of eggs for my family, then who knows what next year will bring, you can't plan ahead anymore, it's just one day at a time, so sad too, that we can work all of our lives for retirement and peace of mind and they can take it all away in a blink...but better times they are a comin', but it's gotta get really bad before it gets really good, many souls will have to leave the planet...do you feel it, a new age upon us...hope I live long enough to experience it...but for now, it's up every morning with a smile and greet each day with promise...just glad I'm not doing it with a broken arm...WHAT A BUMMER!!!
But I wish you a speedy recovery...ya can't keep a good gal down, got too much fun stuff to do...like walks on the beach and taking lots of great pics...well, I'm off to the hen yard to finish building the run...it's gonna be a grand day...do ya feel it!!!
Be well dearest sister...I'm signing your cast virtually...with love from afar!!!
Hugs a bunch!!!

Wonderful shadows!
The lights must stick out further than they first appear to. They left such long shadows! I really like the overall effect.
What a very stately shadow! Great capture for the week!
Hope you have a wonderful week!
