Pic by Gemma Wiseman ~ One of my odd ornaments.
Many have argued just what it is.
I have used it as an unusual doorstop and I put pot pourri in it.
The middle area at the top could hold a large candle.

Its great the way your blog posts always show your individuality and your creative mind at work Gemma. From your collections to your pictures to your haiku, you are unique. I love it.
Taken from a good angle, and nice shadow.
Encoutering that shadow one might thing there was a gentleman in a tophat around.
Delightful post for the day as always! Love "man's hat" shadow! It is fun where we find them -- how we see them! Hope you're enjoying a lovely weekend, Gemma!

I love that shadow! It looks so different than the subject. I see a shrunken top hat, perhaps worn and waved alongside a cane as the dancer moves along the stage. That's what I see, and the imaginative possibilities of shadows is a true treat!
Gorgeously taken!
My Shadow Shot, have a lovely weekend!
So pretty!
My shadows, please come and see.
Fascinating...and well captured.
Love it. The shadow looks like a top hat. Great capture.
I like this shadow! Like a top hatted Leprechaun!
This is a wonderful photo; isn't it interesting how a shadow can look so different in size and shape from the object.
As others have noted, the top shadow looks like some sort of jaunty hat!
SHADOW SINGER
Of shadows an old man did sing;
He chanted in Guelph and Beijing;
The shade was his friend,
He loved it no end—
It made him feel rich as a king!

Yes, the shadow is a top hat! ...or W.C. Fields.

Very nice light and shadow play here Gemma, have a great week, Jo.
Gemma, You are so clever and creative--wonderful shot (haiku is great too). Keep up the good work! Mickie
That is a way cool shadow ~ made by an unusual piece of artwork. I would probably put a candle in the top. ;-)
Thanks for stopping by for Shadow Shot Sunday, Gemma. Have a wonderful week.
My husband Ralph was pretty poetic in his comment above, wasn't he? ha ha
