Clytie and I think alike, the first word that came to mind was 'delicate'. I can just imagine these growing wild and casting a beautiful shadow.

Seems there's three of us! My first thought was how delicate, fragile these are and how lovely to find them wrapping the wall in their beauty! Wonderful capture and words as always, Gemma! Hope your weekend is going well!

Your mention of the Mornington Peninsula brings back happy memories of a wonderful holiday that we had in and around Melbourne! - Oh - and the shadow shot is super too!

The wildflowers are delicate, the elegance of life showing off well against the weathered wood. Autumn in Oz seems so nice, the right amount of warmth and light still around. Pleasant days, not cold - actually just right!

"whispers"

Does that mean their sweet little voices are being choked out by autumn's chill?

WONDERING WHY

Said Shadow, “I do wonder why,
When there is no sun in the sky,
I must disappear;
I’d like to stay here
And never again say good-bye!”

Very nice shot, Gemma. Looks very delicate. I have to remember you're into Autumn now, so these flowers must be nice to still have 'hanging' around. I like flowers!

Peace.

Such a shy whisper from Nature in these delicate shadows, you've been walking the hood again aye!!! We are so longing for continual warm weather, we're about to burst our seams. 29 degrees isn't very conducive to playing in the gardens, you don't even want to make a mad dash to the car for any reason...COME ON SPRING!!! Though we Northerners are not deluding ourselves, we know how brutal March can be, as well as April...so we wait!

Hope school stuff isn't driving you mad with longings to move to Tasmania, though if it's really what you want, they'rd be no stopping me, as I so long to be in Florida, but the time is not right yet for me, as well as you albeit...

At least you have sanctuary in the sea, the Mississippi River with all it's pollution and muddy waters, leaves little to be desired these days. The fish are too polluted to eat because of farm run-off...it's a sad state of affairs in the world, major changes need to happen now before it is too late!

I create my own little world on my 6 acres, planting more trees for the environment and to hide me away from the maddening world that surrounds me...I'm a loner, so it's quite normal for me, wouldn't have it any other way...think I'll go plant more tomorrow. I'm thinking of doing a small water feature too, then I'll pretend the ocean is right out my door...must get a conch shell so I can here the wave song!

It is good to be eccentric, that way people don't get involved, they stay at a safe distance from my folly...ahhhh, sweet insanity!!!
Hope you have a wonderful, productive week ahead dear sister by the sea...think of you often!!!

Hugs o bunch!!!

"Autumn symphonies" - I love it! These are such sweet delicate shadows! I hope you've been enjoying the weekend Gemma! I imagine it's starting to get a little cooler where you are now. The chilly weather hasn't really hit here yet. Which is fine by me :)
