Hanging

Pic by Gemma Wiseman ~ Washing may not be a fascinating subject.
But when the sun is shining for the first time in many days, and there's a chance to hang out the washing, suddenly it all becomes quite colourful and exciting!

Good one! There is nothing quite the fresh scent of fresh air on your clothes.

I wanted a clothesline when we bought this house, because we have so much sunshine, but the winds here are so strong, I'd lose more laundry than I'd dry. Too bad.
Then I wanted a wind turbine, and solar panels for the roof. But no such luck.
Beautiful photo, Gemma. Who would ever have thought laundry a subject for photos except in detergent commercials? But you managed to do it, and do it well.

That is something you rarely see here anymore and I do miss seeing the colorful clothes, blowing in the wind and I always loved the warm, sunny smell when we brought them in! What a delightful post, Gemma, for the H Day. Brought back lots of lovely, warm memories! Enjoy!

Reminds me of when I was in Italy and saw the laundry pinned up outside peoples' windows. Great shot for our H week!

I can,t wait for it to be warm enough (as in above freezing) to hang laundry outside again. It just doesn't smell the same when it dries on racks indoors.

Very colorful. The RV (caravan) resort where we now live during the winter allows laundry to be hung outside, which is something I absolutely LOVE! (Most RV parks do not, because, they say, people don't like to look at it.) So I love that about this place -- it is so good ecologically and economically. (That being said, I still use my dryer for our undies -- don't want to scare people ;>).

ecologically sound, but we don't do it, unfortunately.
