AUSTRALIA ~ The Antipodes
I love a sunburnt country / A land of sweeping plains / Of ragged mountain ranges / Of droughts and flooding rains / I love her far horizons / I love her jewel-sea / Her beauty and her terror / The wide brown land for me / ~ Dorothea Mackellar (1885-1968)

This is such an interesting little building! I wonder how cool it really kept things.
I love this -- have seen a few similarly preserved bldgs on our travels "over here" -- and I love thinking about how inventive the colonial people (and western US pioneers) were. I think it would have kept the meat and butter at exactly the right temp.
Thanks for sharing the sign as well, because while I was gazing at the first lovely photo I wondered what era it had been built.
